Hell's Kitchen Poster Analysis
Hell’s Kitchen:
This
poster would be intriguing for the target audience, which would be middle-aged
people who like cooking shows. The colour scheme of red, yellow, white and
black would also be interesting for the viewer because the bright colours
attract the eye. The link between the colour red and ‘Hell’ would give the idea
that the host of the show, ‘Gordon Ramsay’ is like the devil. This is
reinforced by the look on his face, and he looks angry. In small writing, you
can see it says, ‘if looks could grill’, which highlights the idea that the
host of the show might not be very nice. The font of ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ and the
black colouring also adds to the idea of the show being devil-like and scary
imagery due to the draping letters, which has connotations to hell. The layout
of this poster is important because you can see Gordon is the only on the
poster, which proves that he is the host, and the idea that he is wearing a
chef coat highlights that he is the main chef.
